BAGANI by Miko Pepito
Since freedom is not really felt by most Filipino's (freedom of expression, creative freedom, freedom from poverty, pride, pretention, etc....), I've decided to declare June 12 as Independent's Day. I'd rather celebrate the fact that more and more Filipinos are becoming independent from the idea that society is feeding us. We are starting to think for ourselves and act on our own.
To celebrate Independent's Day, I will be launching my website and new music video entitled BAGANI. I wrote that song 2 years ago, and even though i don't perform it as much, the song's essence continues to ring louder as political and social issues grow. The song is not a call to everyone to do something, it's a rant by everyone who's been doing something. Thank you and happy Independent's Day!
